A poem fitting for today

April Rain Song

Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.

It's so cool that I would read this poem today. I am doing a report on Langston Hughes tonight in my Gen Lit class. I'm glad you shared. That made my day.

Thanks

it's too bad this poem doesn't have anything about stalin or communism

Patti, you just don't get it. The rain is the opiate of the masses in this poem.
